The Council on Aging provides a place Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM-4 PM and Friday 8:30 AM-12 PM for adults age 55 and older to easily access information and services as well as to meet to socialize and enjoy participating in programs and special seasonal events.
*Housing; Provides management, development and service coordination for seniors in our housing program. The COA owns and manages 37 subsidized units and 48 units in partnership with the Lions Club for a total of 85 units. We have 36 units of affordable housing adjacent to Neal Center.
*Nutrition; Coordinates and delivery of over 200 individual meals per day at four congregate meal sites and through Meals on Wheels.
*Outreach and Assistance; Provides nutritional supplies, incontinent supplies, food pantry and other services to older adults. Staff and a coordinated system of volunteers provide these services which allow the elderly to live healthier and more safely in their homes reducing numbers prematurely placed in long-term care.
